Privacy
Popcorn Together is a small, non-commercial hobby project. Last updated October 13, 2026.
What we store
- From Google sign-in: your name, email address, profile photo and Google account id.
- What you add: your groups and the titles in them, your 👍/👎 and notes, and settings like your region.
- What you search for (and the title or person you pick from the suggestions), so the developer can see what people look for and make search better. Your recent searches are also kept on your device to show under the search field.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
Who can see it
Your own titles (the list under your name) are visible only to you. A group's titles are visible to the members of that group. Your searches are visible only to the developer. Popcorn Together has no ads, doesn't sell or share your data, and doesn't use third-party analytics.
Services we use
Popcorn Together runs on Vercel and stores data with Turso. Movie and TV information comes from TMDB, and where-to-watch data from JustWatch via TMDB. For searches the filters can't place (like “sad but funny”) and for lists you paste into Bulk add, the text is sent to Anthropic's Claude to suggest or find titles. They don't receive your account data.
Deleting your data
Leaving a group removes you from it. To delete your account and everything in it, contact the developer using the support email shown on Google's sign-in screen.
